Network Infrastructure Audit
What Is It?
A Network Infrastructure Audit is designed to audit and document a company's physical information technology infrastructure, including laptops, desktops, servers, routers etc., with a view to making recommendations ranging from strategic to tactical, for improvement.
Who Is It For?
A Network Infrastructure Audit is a suitable consulting package for virtually any small business regardless of its stage. However, maximum benefit will be derived from small business clients who run a client-server network with multiple desktop/laptop nodes, and who have a clearly defined strategy for growth.
Deliverables
A Network Infrastructure Audit will produce a Network Infrastructure Audit Report. The Report will make recommendations on short-term actions to improve the efficiency and security of your network infrastructure, both from a software and hardware perspective, and will also make strategic recommendations on the implementation of IT infrastructure for your business, including timing, likely costs, strategic impacts and ultimately, expected business benefits.
Expected Business Results
Expected business results will be quantified in terms of:
- Cost savings
- Return On Investment
Time Commitment
You should be prepared to give at least 20 hours of your or your staff's time to allow us to obtain the information necessary to undertake the review.
Length Of Engagement
The process will take about 4-6 weeks for the production of the report, with regular engagement intervals in the following 12 - 18 months to assist you in managing the change process and quantifying business results.
Follow Up Actions
It will be the client's responsibility to act on the recommendations contained in the Network Infrastructure Audit Report. SBDCTAP can provide further consulting to help clients with the process of selecting vendors/systems, and planning implementations. We can also help you measure the business impact of systems implementations.
